Hike with the International Club für the University of Bayreuth
on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from Ködnitz via the Weinleite to Fölschnitz, and back. Lunch in Fölschnitz.
Start: 10:00 AM; End: approx. 3:30 PM.
Organized by Prof. Dr. Sander van Smaalen and Wil Meijer
Lunch: Gasthof Erika Wehner in Fölschnitz (Hauptstraße 41, 95361 Ködnitz).
Starting point: Sports field in Ködnitz.
Guests are warmly welcome!
Getting there from Bayreuth (example): approx. 25 minutes. GPS: Ködnitz.
From Bayreuth, drive to Bindlach. At the end of Bindlach, take the third exit at the roundabout toward Trebgast. In the center of Trebgast, turn left toward Kauerndorf/Ködnitz, then continue by turning right. Follow the road through the valley of the White Main River. In Ködnitz, turn right toward Reuth/Sports Field (see photo). Park at the sports field.
Please note: At the end of Trebgast, there is a sign saying “residents only” — this does not apply to us, so just continue on to Ködnitz.
Important: Be sure to take the route through Trebgast, as the road near Kauerndorf is closed.
Also important: Don’t confuse Ködnitz near Trebgast with similarly named villages.
