Since its founding in 1976, the International Club (IC) has been an established support organization that acts as a link between international guests, researchers, and the Bayreuth community. We promote intercultural exchange and support the university's internationalization strategy through cultural events, integration programs, and cooperation with the International Office and the Graduate School. Whether through welcome parties, regional city tours, family events, or the prestigious IC Award, we aim to facilitate the integration of university members into Bayreuth.
Annual International Club Award (IC Award)
This year, we are once again supporting the University of Bayreuth with the IC Prize, in which one winner will receive prize money of €1,200 from us. The application deadline is September 30, 2025.

Our events
We organize regular events throughout the year with the aim of facilitating a variety of encounters. These events are intended for professors and doctoral students who are new to the University of Bayreuth and want to get to know the city and make connections, as well as for their families and international guests. And, last but not least, for our IC members.
