Important Dates

Our experienced hiking guides Will Meijer and Sander van Smaalen offer a hike twice a year (spring and fall). This spring, we will hike together around Türkelstein, including lunch together at the restaurant "Haus Ammonit" in Türkelstein

Morning: 5,1 km distance, 136 m elevation; about 2 hours hiking.
After lunch: 2,1 km distance, 61 m elevation; about 50 minutes hiking.

Starting Point: Driving from Bayreuth to the parking place near Türkelstein.
Navi: Türkelstein, and continue until parking place.
From Bayreuth take the highway A9 in the direction of Nuremberg. Take exit No. 43, Trockau;
at the end of the exit, turn right in the direction of Gößweinstein/Waischenfeld/Pottenstein.
After a few kilometer, at the end of the road, turn left in the direction of Pottenstein. After
several kilometer, turn right towards Haßlach. Through Haßlach to Rackersberg and continue
to Tüchersfeld. At the end of Tüchersfeld turn right onto the B470. In Behringersmühle turn
left to Gößweinstein. Drive through Gößweinstein to Etzdorf / Türkelstein.
About 500 Meter after Türkelstein turn left into the driveway (photo) to the parking place.
Please notice: in case the roads through Gößweinstein are blocked (due to road work), don't
turn into Gößweinstein. Instead, turn right after a few hundred meters, into the direction of
Stadelhofen. Then turn right into the third road (without directions, but with advertising
banner "Zufahrt zu den Gärtnereien") and at the end, turn left to Etzdorf. Through Etzdorf to
Türkelstein.
