On 20th March 2024, between 6 pm and 9 pm, the International Club for the University of Bayreuth e.V., together with international guests and members of the university, would like to start the Persian New Year with a small celebration. Nowruz, the "new day", is the first day of spring and has been celebrated for over 3,000 years and is, by now, celebrated by more than 300 million people worldwide.
We are receiving support for the event from our Iranian friends Alireza Madadi, Mahdis Abedin und Sahar Salehi-Müller, who will be providing a varied program and culinary specialties from their home country. We welcome any additional snacks or finger food brought – that do not necessarily have to be “persian” in character.
