Hiking Tour with the International Club from Rupprechtstegen to Velden and back, organized by Prof. Dr. Sander van Smaalen and Wil Meijer
Sunday, 6th October, 10.00 until about 16.00
Parking lot after Rupprechtstegen exit in direction Lungsdorf / Velden / Neuhaus
We will meet at the parking lot after Rupprechtstegen exit in direction Lungsdorf / Velden / Neuhaus. We will hike together from Rupprechtstegen to Velden and back again.
Hike: 4,8 km, 186 vertical meters, 1 hour and 50 minutes walking time.
Return: 3,5 km, 96 vertical meters, 1 hour and 15 minutes walking time.
Lunch: Gasthof-Pension zur Taube, Tel: 09152-7204. (Mühltorstrasse 2, 91235 Velden; www.gasthof-bammler.de).

Directions from Bayreuth (drive time approx. 40 minutes):
Highway A9 towards Nürnberg; Exit 47: Hormersdorf; at the end of the exit turn right in the direction of Hormersdorf. At the entrance to Hormersdorf turn left in the direction Ruppertstegen. Continue and in the valley below in Rupprechtstegen at the T-splitting please turn left. After 200 m on the right side you will find the parking lot (see the photo).
Alternate route: From the highway exit Pegnitz keep on the roadway to Auerbach, then Neuhaus – Velden – Ruppertstegen. Our parking lot is just before entering Rupprechtstegen.
